Designed and installed the first successful evaporator system handling ammonia base sulfite red liquor for Puget Sound Pulp and Paper. At Kraft Pulping developed the first successful concentrator to produce 65% solids concentrate, by designing a special unit capable of processing a very viscous liquor. Designed the first mechanical vapor compression pulp mill evaporator for Rayonier’s plant at Grays Harbor.

Corn Products and Vegetable Oils

• Several installations in Decatur, Illinois for Staley’s and Corn Products Co., to process steep water. This liquor becomes very difficult to handle due to its rubber like nature when it gets thick. Supplied plants to VWR in Seattle for concentrating starch liquors.
